Read with the best of the Beltway Bunch

Attention Google Reader users: now you can read what the political big shots read.
Barack Obama peruses, among other things, his campaign’s own blog, The Daily Show, Chicago White Sox (gag!), and Daily Kos (gag!!). McCain’s got BBQ Bible, JibJab(?!), his daughter’s blog, and FOX News. This sort of contradicts his self-professed illiteracy when it comes to the internet, but who’s counting?
You can also check out what some of the bigger names in political journalism read. That’s way more interesting to me, mostly because I assume that these guys don’t have a bunch of Havianas-wearing staffers concocting the most acceptable cocktail of news and personal interest blogs. I am kind of disappointed that they didn’t include my favorite news consumer: Howard Kurtz, media columnist for the Washington Post and Facebook user.
I really do hope that Google moves on to other sectors of the American pantheon of Big Deals. Inquiring minds (i.e., mine) want to know: what does Karl Lagerfeld read? Michiko Kakutani? Bill Gates? Angelina Jolie? Elie Wiesel? Perez Hilton? Come on, Google. Get on this.
